Food ingredients and allergen information
We show available ingredients, allergen information and net quantity on each product page. When information is not listed, contact us before ordering to request the current manufacturer details. Missing information does not mean a product is allergen-free.
Always check before ordering
Read both the complete ingredients list and the separate allergen declaration. Look for statements such as “contains”, “may contain” and warnings about shared manufacturing equipment. A dietary label, including “vegan” or “gluten free”, is not a substitute for reading the product-specific allergen declaration.
The 14 regulated UK allergen groups
Food allergen declarations can include: celery, cereals containing gluten, crustaceans, eggs, fish, lupin, milk, molluscs, mustard, peanuts, sesame, soybeans, sulphur dioxide and sulphites, tree nuts.
An entry saying “None declared” means the manufacturer label did not declare one of these allergens when the product was checked. It is not a guarantee that a product is suitable for a particular medical condition or free from all cross-contact risk.
Check the packaging again on delivery
Manufacturers may change ingredients, recipes, suppliers or production facilities. Check the physical label when your groceries arrive and before eating or serving the product. Do not consume an item if its label conflicts with the information you expected.
Ask us before you buy
If you have a food allergy, intolerance, medical dietary requirement or a question about cross-contact, contact us before ordering or email orders@mauritiangroceries.co.uk.
If a product arrives damaged, incorrectly labelled or unsuitable because of an information mismatch, stop using it and contact us promptly. Your rights are explained in our returns policy.
